Palsaik History

2007

The First Palsaik Samgyupsal restaurant opened in Korea. While eight colour pork was already a food-type known and enjoyed by Korean, the Palsaik Samgyupsal franchise was the first to standardize the delivery of food, as well as to use patented technology in its preparation of the meat. It was at this restaurant that the Palsaik –patented multidirectional fire control gas-burner was used for the first time to cook the pork to perfection.

2008

The Palsaik Samgyupsal trademark and logo was registered in Korea after many competitor products tried to cash in on the popularity of the restaurant.

2009

Palsaik Samgyupsal was named one of Korea’s best new business. The chain also patented their food storage system.

2010

The Seoul government awarded the Palsaik Samgyupsal franchise a Silver medal for promoting the city using food. The Palsaik franchise was awarded the Grand Prize at the Korean Food Industry Franchise Awards for best customer satisfaction.

2011

Palsaik opened its first American branch in Los Angeles, California. It also patented a bean sprout cultivation method using black garlic extract. Bean sprouts used in every Palsaik restaurant are sprouted via this method.

2012

Palsaik Samgyupsal opened its first branch in Melbourne, Australia. The Korean outlet was voted Seoul city’s most visited restaurant, while the Palsaik set plate design was patented.

2013

Palsaik Food Management was incorporated in Korea to manage the franchise business.

2014

The first South East Asian franchise was awarded to Inno 8 Food Sdn Bhd and Palsaik Malaysia. Began operations in Mont Kiara, with a second outlet opening in Scott Garden (Old Klang Road) a few months later.
